2016 was such an incredible year for beauty – we saw hundreds upon hundreds of new beauty products launch and us beauty addicts flocked right to them. From foundations to eyebrow pomade, from liquid lippies to handmade lashes – there’s no doubt 2017 will rock the beauty world even harder. Here are 5 beauty brands I feel will revolutionise the beauty industry this new year.
This is really no surprise right? The launch of Kylie Cosmetics really took the world by storm – people were paying up to $50 (on eBay) for her liquid lipsticks! But here we have ColourPop Cosmetics who made their products in the same lab but with a more affordable price tag. Extremely high pigmented lipsticks and eyeshadows, ColourPop has never failed me! They rolled out the KaePop collection with coveted beauty Karrueche Tran and towards the end of 2016 they launched the oh so cute Hello Kitty collection. On top of that, they gave us Aussies a taste of free international shipping with orders over a mere $50! Please never change ColourPop – keep giving the people what they want and they’ll be loyal forever. If you’ve never heard of this brand, you need to get your butts onto their websites ASAP.
NYX made a huge explosion down under when they were finally launched in Priceline stores across the nation. The store was hugely overcrowded especially when Priceline ran their 40% off beauty products – needless to say, NYX products were completely out of stock! You’d be lucky to even find 1 NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick. NYX cosmetics have made such an impact since their launch in Priceline and we are oh so glad. Their Lingerie and Suede liquid lipstick collections were so successful that girls scurried from Priceline to Priceline looking for the perfect nude. They offer such great quality make up at an affordable drug store price – we can’t wait to see what they offer in 2017 – definitely look out for this one!
If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know how obsessed I am with Tarte Cosmetics. Their packaging is to die for, their eyeshadow palettes are flawless in every sense of the word and they offer free international shipping to Australia for orders over $95! WHAAAT. I know! It’s exciting times for Australia in the beauty world. This cruelty free cosmetics brand has really made a mark in the beauty world, with their successful Rainforest of the Sea collection and most recently, their Coloursplash lipsticks (which are super cute) Youtubers and influencers are flocking towards this brand for high quality products. I can’t wait to see what new collection they have in store for us!
Milani has quickly become one of my favourite beauty brands over 2016 – I have tried and loved their foundations, lip collections and blushes. Everything is highly pigmented with absolutely beautiful packaging – they have a blush compact that is shaped like a rose! The launch of their 2 in 1 Perfect and Conceal Foundation grabbed Youtubers’ attention and it has definitely become a favourite. They also released their Amore Matte Metallic Lip Creme which combines the beautiful matte look with a gilded glamour shimmer. I purchase my Milani products from Crush Cosmetics or Rouche Boutique (who both offer After Pay!). Be sure to check them out if this is the first time you’re hearing about it!
Last but certainly not least, Too Faced. Probably the cutest brand to ever step into the beauty world – I mean, have you heard of their Sweet Peach collection?! One of their products is called Papa Don’t Peach (caaaa-uuuute much?). Too Faced is such an innovative beauty brand and have really reached peak status in 2016. They have a huge social media following with Youtubers and influencers promoting their brand simply because it’s one of the best. Their campaigns are amazing and their collaborations are to die for, the most recent being Better Together with Kat Von D. If you step into an Australian Mecca Cosmetica/Maxima, majority of the time, people will be standing at the Too Faced counter swatching the beautiful Melted lippies. I can feel it in my bones that this brand will bring us bigger and better things for 2017 and I’m excited!
So there is my top 5 beauty brands to keep an eye out for! If you have any that I didn’t mention, please comment down below because I am keen to know of your favourites!
