Amie Skincare Review

Amie Skincare Review

Beauty & Fashion, Blog, Home

Being obsessed with beauty, I have always leaned towards cosmetics more than skincare. The side of skincare confuses me more than anything as there are so many different brands, products and types of those products. However, as a beauty enthusiast, I’m always on the look out for new and cult favourite skincare products. I was recently and generously sent the Amie Skincare collection – a brand I had never heard of and never really seen in stores either. When I was sent these products, I was super excited and did a little research of myself before I started using them. Here’s what I found!

Australian Stockist

Priceline – Of course our friendly, pink pharmacy stocks Amie Skincare. This is the only stockist we have in Australia. The prices for the collection range from $6.99 to $9.99.

Ingredients

Let’s talk about ingredients! As stated on the Amie Skincare website, their ingredient policy is “We pride ourselves in our bespoke formulas that use high-quality natural plant and botanical ingredients (organic, wherever possible) and with none of the following:

  • No parabens
  • No mineral-oils
  • No petrochemicals
  • No sodium laureth sulphate or sodium lauryl sulphate
  • No ingredients of Genetically Modified Origin
  • No animal testing
  • No animal ingredients
  • All products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans

So after I read this I was grateful that there were no chemicals present in this skincare range. Organic AND no animal testing is a really important thing in this day and age,

Spring Clean Deep Cleansing Mask $9.99

I’m such a sucker for masks – I love pampering myself especially when I have a whole day off to treat my skin and hair. This was the first product I used out of the range and was super excited. This Spring Clean Deep Cleansing Mask claims to purify pores, combats oiliness and blemishes for clearer skin. It includes harmonising natural extracts including: organic peppermint, white clay and lime butter. First thing I had to do was smell it and boy did it smell fresh! When applying to the face, I love using a clean foundation brush – this way, the masks spreads evenly across the face and even in the hard to reach places. I left the mask to dry for about 10 minutes, it dried to a chalky consistency and made the skin feel tight. Once I washed it off, my skin felt super clean and extremely soft. After using this for 3 weeks (once a week) I did not react in any negative ways, my skin was completely normal and felt super spring clean! Definitely recommend this product out of the range.

Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturiser $9.99

I made the risky switch from the Clinique Gel Moisturiser to this moisturiser in order to test out and review the product. I’ve been using it everyday for a few weeks and I don’t think I’ll be switching back to say the least! This product claims to control oiliness and shine whilst still hydrating and softening the skin. Since I suffer from an oily t-zone, I love using this before applying any make up. It acts as such a great base for foundation (without primer!) or even just an everyday moisturiser. With extracts of rosehip and bilberry, the smell is not overpowering but just enough. This is definitely one that I will be repurchasing and using for a long, long time.

Radiant Dawn Exfoliating Daily Wash $7.99

This is probably my favourite product of the range – an exfoliating daily wash. The general rule (to be broken) about exfoliating is that we’re only meant to do it once or twice a week. But here we have a DAILY exfoliant that is so gentle and cleansing on the skin. Of course, the first thing I did was smell it and it smelt like cucumbers and apple – the best combination for fresh smelling skin! Amie has used high-quality naturally derived plant extracts for that exfoliating feeling throughout the cleanser. It’s seriously a must try!

Other Products in the Range

I decided to just review my top 3 products that I really enjoyed using! There are, however a few more products in the range that target different areas of the skin. They include:

  • Purifying Facial Wash
  • Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes
  • Hydrating Daily Moisturiser
  • Gentle Cleansing Micellar Water
  • Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish

Be sure to head on over to Priceline or www.amieskincare.com to check out their latest products and news!

*Disclosure: Although I’ve been generously sent these products from amie skincare, this does not affect my review on their products. Everything written is true and honest!

I haven’t tried Amie yet (saw it for the first time in Priceline the other day), but it seems to check all the boxes with no nasties, and no animal testing etc… so important!
