Autumn Look Book: Menswear

Stealing your boyfriend/partner’s hoodie has been a worldwide trend ongoing. I do itΒ all the time. I then started noticing menswear more often than usual. When I’m in the men’s section, it’s for my boyfriend most of the time, however, in the past couple of years, I’ve seen some extremely cute things that I could probably rock. Most of these are baggy t-shirts and outerwear. So I thought I’d put a quick look together that features my most recent purchase that I’m obsessed with! I really had a ball doing this shoot and feel it’s my favourite one to date – of course I had the help of my bf who took my photos for me. Juva Skincare Review

Okay so I took longer than expected but my review on the Juva Skincare Classic Set is finally here! Just a quick life/blog update: I have been 100% focused on creating video content for Instagram and Youtube which takes a lot of time and effort. But I am now back on the blog with a new review and more exciting content for you guys! First of all, thank you so much to the Bloggers United Australia team for teaming me up with Juva Skincare – I was generously gifted their Classic Set which is inclusive of: Brightening Enhancer 50mls Brightening Essence x2 10mls Brightening Lotion 60mls Brightening Enhancer First up, the brightening enhancer which comes in the form of a mist. The packaging across all products are flawless! I love the slightly frosted glass bottle and the orange colour is absolutely gorgeous, makes it feel clean and fresh. This is considered the first step in the set and can be easily misted across the face and neck until absorbed. This is the only product that I didn’t really have an impression on after using it for a while. It felt like a facial mist which is refreshing and nice on the skin however, I didn’t really notice a brightening effect. It’s probably a product that I could have done without to be perfectly honest. Brightening Essence Next up in the Juva Skincare routine is the brightening essence. There were two small vials of this product with a detachable droplet for easy disperse. I loved the dropper, I felt it definitely helped with the application. This serum in particular is very different to other serums, it’s extremely lightweight – almost water-like and soaks into the skin very easily and quickly. There is a slight tacky feel after applying the brightening essence but nothing that is uncomfortable. It has a high concentrate of fullerene – a scientifically proven antioxidant that can reduce the number of free radicals in the body. Free radicals are known to cause many skin problems such as uneven skin tone, sunspots and more. I’ve been using this for a while and can definitely see a difference in my skin texture. My skin can get very uneven and blemish proned so this essence has brightened and evened out my skin. Brightening Lotion The final step to the Classic Set is an oil-control hydrating lotion. When it comes to lotions,…

Dying to Try – March

I’ve started a new series! I literally thought of it like 2 seconds ago. It’s called ‘Dying to Try’ and, you guessed it – a list of products that I’m just dying to try that month and why! If you have tried any of these products, please let me know how you went! Now, without further ado: Tatcha Water Cream I don’t know what it is about Tatcha but I am just dying to get my hands on their Water Cream ever since Nicole Guerriero started using it in her makeup tutorials. Everything from the packaging to the hype has me so enticed. The one thing that is stopping me from buying it? The price tag. The Tatcha Water Cream retails for a hefty $99 at 50ml (Mecca).Β  I’ll need to cop a little sample before fully investing! Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask So Sephora recently launched Laneige to their website and I am so excited! I’ve heard so many rave reviews about this brand but for some reason, the Lip Sleeping Mask really drew me in. I am obsessed with lip products so I always want my lips to be in perfect condition. As winter is approaching us, I feel I need something that will plump and hydrate my lips and this screams exactly that. It is currently sold out on Sephora (devastated) but I am on the waiting list! The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask retails for $26 at 20g. Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palette – Beauty Glow I’m not sure why out of all the neutral/warm palettes on the market (there’s A LOT), the Charlotte Tilbury has me completely obsessed. This palette is so beautiful and is multi-use which is a total bonus! The rose-gold and bronze colour palette is so my vibe but the price tag on this has me hesitant! At $99, I just can’t justify it. But the shadows look incredibly creamy and buttery – what a dilemma! Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter You guys know I just had to add this to my dying to try list! The hype on this highlighter is so real and has made such an impression on me that I know I need this in my life. The only thing stopping me is that it’s basically sold out everywhere (except the ABH website but girl, I ain’t paying $30 for shipping on a $30 product). As soon as…

Autumn 2018 Lookbook Pt.1

Between beauty and fashion, I’m clearly a lot more cluey in the beauty category. But I am always looking for ways to improve my diversity when it comes to social media. Some people may advise me to stay in my lane, but I don’t have just 1 lane. So, here is my first ever Autumn lookbook for 2018 – the photos were taken by my amazing boyfriend who is not a photographer but honestly did the most incredible job! I’ll list where I purchased my items from however I’m 99% sure most of them are no longer on sale (they’re quite old) but I’ll list some similar items! I hope you guys enjoy! DISCLAIMER: my photos are NOT filtered or blurred. The only thing I do to enhance my images are increase exposure and warm/cool tone in Lightroom – I am not a professional photo editor so I just slide the bar back and forth till I feel my photo looks good. Every girl needs a light duster for those days where it’s not too cold and not too warm. This beige duster goes with everything in my closet and I’ve had it for a while! Paired with a cute dress and a pair of boots – this is my perfect date night look for the fall. Duster: Dolly Girl Fashion Dress: ASOS Shoes: The Iconic Watch: The Iconic Bracelet: Pandora A denim jacket is a must during the cool weather! Note that I said ‘cool’, not cold! Let’s be honest, denim jackets are not made to keep us warm – they’re hella cute though! This is a denim jacket I bought from GLUE store about 5 years ago and unless I’m wearing jeans, I can pretty much wear this denim with any outfit (I can’t pull off the denim on denim yet). Rolling the sleeves give a casual look and is definitely a lot more flattering for me! Jacket: Gluestore An off the shoulder knit is a staple in my autumn closet – it’s sexy but wearable for anyone! I love showing off my collarbones and shoulders and feel there’s something quite seductive about a bardot or off the shoulder styled top. Paired with a nice pair of cuffed jeans and on trend mules – that’s my brunch outfit sorted! Top: Missguided AU Jeans: Dolly Girl Fashion Shoes: The Iconic Bracelet: Mimco And there is part 1 of my…

How I Stay Motivated & Positive

I think my biggest pet peeve in life is when people play victim, especially when they put themselves in that particular issue or situation. It’s extremely discouraging to see people be negative or surround themselves in a negative space and complain that their life is miserable. In 2017, I made it a goal to stay absolutely motivated and positive and I feel that there are some things I’ve done that help keep me on track. Whatever happens in life, there’s always someone who has it worse and that’s what I continually keep in the back of my mind. So the following few things are how I stay motivated and positive, especially when life throws me some hurdles. Good morning If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, do whatever you can to change that, especially if it’s early in the morning and you have yet to start your day. I find that when I wake up feeling angry or overwhelmed, I think of something that would change my morning from negative to positive. A message to or from my partner, finding something to look forward to in the week, a hearty breakfast or even listening to music. The way your morning goes, is usually a foreshadow of how your day will go – a good morning = a good day (usually, anyways). Goal kicking I try and set mini goals for myself everyday – almost like a to-do list. This helps me stay motivated. Having a job that requires creativity definitely helps me get through my day quite easily however for those that have a desk job and can’t wait to finish work at 5, setting mini goals can really help you. Staying on track at work, especially after lunch can be difficult! However if you start work by writing down a list of what you need to start and finish by the end of the day, you’ll keep your mind fully occupied. Remember to space out your list as well to refrain yourself from finishing tasks too quickly. Overwhelmed emotion When something happens in my life that triggers an overwhelming sense of emotion, I let everything out. I’ve learnt that letting go of your emotions and just crying or feeling frustrated is the best way for me to deal with my emotions. From the utter most tragic thing that I’ve experienced to something very minute and…

A Guide to 2018’s Autumn Trends | AU

I didn’t want to write this post simply because I don’t want summer to leave! But unfortunately, we’re about a week away from autumn. As much as I hate the cold change, I absolutely love autumn trends, the colours, fashion and change in leaves are always gorgeous. In today’s post, I’ll be giving you guys a guide to this year’s autumn trends, beauty edition! Beauty Lips We’ll of course, start with my favourite topic – beauty. Autumn is the perfect time to rock a deep red or cranberry shade (not that you need an excuse to), but autumn is my favourite time to wear a dark shade on my lips for a day look. But we’ll also see glossy lips make an even greater comeback this autumn – I’m talking extreme gloss. I’m usually an all matte girl, but this autumn, I’m excited to switch it up and rock a super glossed up, editorial lip. Besides a dark glossed lip, I also think the trend will lead towards a completely muted matte lip – almost a morbid lip. This is probably a trend I won’t be following but definitely interesting to see it become popular in fashion shows. It’d also look amazing with a dark smokey eye! Eyes This is a trend I stick with all year round. If you follow me on Instagram, you’d notice that about 80% of my makeup looks and eyeshadow palettes are warm toned. In autumn this year, we’ll see trends of red eyeshadow – which can be extremely hard to pull off and make you look like you have a big bruise, however, apply it correctly and it’ll look incredible. I also think there will be more looks with glossy lids. Soft and dewy is a trend that won’t be leaving us any time soon and that means dewy eyeshadow as well. For some reason, we’re obsessed with the ‘wet look’ ever since Kim K rocked that wet hair style a couple years ago. Base Like I mentioned, dewy skin will be around for 2018 – it’s definitely not going anywhere. Due to the cold change in autumn, everyone will be vying for that perfect dewy and sun kissed look. Foundations will be released in either matte or dewy formula and liquid highlighters will continue it’s popularity among beauty brands.

Thermaebeauty Review

It’s been a while guys! I have been so obsessed with video content creation that I’ve completely neglected my writing but I am back! Today, I want to talk about a brand that generously gifted me two of their products. Thermaebeauty is an Australian business and thrive on letting it be known that they are naturally blessed and handmade in the heart of Melbourne. They provide products such as hand soaps, body scrubs and bath soaps (all from the pamper category!). I was given the Black Mamba Coffee Scrub and the Spice Delight Bath Salts and here are my thoughts on them! Black Mamba Coffee Scrub Coffee scrub has blown up over the past few years, known for being an amazing skin brightener, radiates and keeps your skin glowing as well as de-puffs sleepy eyes! Thermaebeauty’s Black Mamba coffee scrub is made up of: Pure Arabica coffee Australian brown sugar Cocoa powder Jojoba oil Calendula extract Australian peppermint oil Mandarin oil Natural vitamin E Thermaebeauty claims that their Black Mamba coffee scrub exfoliates the skin without leaving it dry or irritated and that’s one thing that was definitely impressive. As all coffee scrubs are messy, so is this one, you just can’t avoid it! The only thing I wish companies thought of is making the packaging in a way that taking the product out is less messy. Besides that, the scrub definitely made my skin feel amazingly smooth and buttery as soon as I stepped out of the shower and dried myself. I could have easily not put moisturiser on afterwards however I am highly OCD when it comes to that. For $18.50, I feel this scrub will definitely last a good month or two if used 1-2 times a week which is what I’ve been doing. I absolutely love the after-feeling of using this and I definitely recommend it! Spice Delight Bath Salts Thermaebeauty has three different bath salts; Bath Amongst the Gum Trees, Mrs Pelagronium and Spice Delight. I was sent the Spice Delight The formula for Spice Delight is made up of: Dead Sea Salt Cinnamon Oil Cardamom Oil Nutmeg Oil Black Pepper (cert. Organic) Cinnamon Chips (cert. Organic) Natural Vitamin E The scent for Spice Delight is extremely potent so if you dislike cinnamon, this one is definitely not for you. However, I don’t mind cinnamon – it was probably a bit too strong for me…
