Top 3 Affordable Foundations

I have 3 foundations that I ALWAYS go to for everyday/regular use and they are super affordable! I have combination-oily skin meaning I get oily in my t-zone (especially my nose and forehead) and can get dry patches around my cheeks and mouth. I find these foundations work best for my skin and are easy to colour match as well.Β So, let’s get right into – in no particular order!

L’oreal Paris True Match Foundation – $17.95 from Priceline (currently 40% off!)

This foundation is amazing! I really love the quality, packaging and affordability. It has a wide range of colours, both warm and cool tones however I highly recommend testing it on your skin before purchasing. It may be hard to ‘eyeball’ the shade unless you’re a pro! The foundation comes in a pump which is always a plus. It’s very buildable and gives a medium coverage – perfect for everyday wear. L’oreal True MatchΒ gives a demi-matte finish however does not make your skin greasy or oily.

L’oreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation – $17.95 from Priceline (Out of stock online but 40% off in store!)

Yes, okay. It’s another L’oreal foundation but this is no coincidence! It really is another favourite foundation of mine and I’m not even surprised that it’s from the same company. This foundation is completely matte however breathable and light-weight on the skin. I seriously see no flaws when I use this and it lasts all day (I use Laura Mercier Transluscent Powder on top).

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation – $19.95 from Priceline

I feel like this foundation has a huge cult following, especially on Instagram and Youtube. I have seen countless positive reviews on this foundation and had to try it – especially since it’s matte! There are a few cons with this foundation however nothing that will hinder it’s actual quality and price range. The first negative thing I have to say is the packaging – why oh why would you not have a pump! It’s a glass square bottle and to retrieve product, you have to tip it upside down onto your hand or palette. Second thing is the colour range is very small – I had to go with their ‘darkest’ shade 310 Sun Beige which really isn’t dark at all. It’s definitely too light for me come summer time! BUT! The quality is beautiful! The matte finish is true to it’s word, it’s long lasting and feels like nothing at all on the skin. Maybelline Fit Me foundation also comes in a normal Fit Me for normal skin and Fit Me Dewy and Smooth for those who love a natural glow to the face!

There you have it – short and sweet. You can find all of these foundations from Priceline or Discount Chemist for under $20. I apply most of my liquid foundations with a beauty sponge or oval dense brush to achieve a flawless and natural look!
